Like many modern love stories, ours begins… with a swipe on Tinder.

Despite what Halie may have told her grandparents, we did not meet through mutual friends, or a chance encounter at a coffee shop. (Sorry about that!)

David first noticed Halie because her Tinder “anthem” was a Red Hot Chili Peppers song. Naturally, this was a sign, and after recognizing her elite taste in music, David knew he had no choice but to message her. David, being incredibly subtle, quickly made sure to mention that he could, in fact, play many Chili Peppers songs on both the bass and guitar.

Halie was hooked.

What started as messages about music quickly turned into long conversations and even longer walks around Peace Valley Park. Those early days were filled with getting to know each other, inhaling wawa hoagies and potato chips, and dreaming about the kind of life we hoped to build someday.

Peace Valley became our spot, the place where we think our love truly unfolded. It holds so many memories for us… which is exactly why David chose it as the place to propose. From first dates to forever- all in the same park!

Over the years, we’ve grown up together, and supported each other’s big goals and dreams. Halie quizzed David through endless CPA exam prep (with all four passed, and licensed in 2021!), and David cheered Halie on through her tattoo apprenticeship until she officially completed her licensing at the end of 2020.

We’ve learned to celebrate the wins, push through the challenges, and in the end we will build the life we always used to talk about during those early days in Peace Valley park.

And now, that life includes becoming husband and wife.

We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you on October 3rd. We’re so excited to see everyone and start forever surrounded by the people we love most.
